Pattern Switch (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are doing a "pattern switch."  Each participant selected an example in the current CTMH Idea Book and 'switched' their project to either a card or layout ... opposite of the example in the Idea Book.

If you arrived from Shirley's "Mom 'n Me Scrap" blog, then follow along with the link at the bottom of this post to continue the Technique Blog Hop

When I first saw the Unicorn Dreams stamp set, I wasn't sure what I thought about it.  But I have seen some cute cards created with it, so I ordered it.  For this card, the sentiment and small unicorn are paired with bright, fun papers from the Sarita kit and a modified version of Pattern #15 in the Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 guide.  A strip of Purple Shimmer Trim and a few small Sparkles add some glitz to the unicorn card.

Inspiration for my card was the layout using Skylark paper on page 21 of the Spring/Summer 2014 CTMH Idea Book.  The page layout is Pattern #15 in the Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 guide, and is also used for the Jubilee WOTG Scrapbooking Kit which is shown on page 46 of the Idea Book.

    1. Thanks, Joy. Still not sure how much I like the unicorn stamp set, but it is very different from most of the other CTMH stamps so I had to get it. :)
