Black + White + Red + Share the Love

This week the Heart 2 Heart Challenges and Color My Heart Color Dare blogs have a joint challenge, using Share the Love with the colors black, white, and red.   

Are you old enough to remember using a rotary dial telephone?  Well I sure am, and love this image available in the special Share the Love stamp set.  This stamp set is only available to order during the month of February, and $7 of each sale will be donated to Operation Smile.  

What is black and white and red all over?  An entry for Color My Heart Color Dare #180.  Using a stripe and a dotted paper from the La Vie En Rose kit along with Cranberry ink and red embellishments + stamp images from the Share the Love stamp set for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge = a nostalgic card.

Stamp of Approval

Spent the day visiting and creating with a friend, and created this fun, friendship card following this week's CAS(E) this Sketch (CTS158) blog.  The stamp image from Stamps of Approval is embossed using Silver embossing powder, and papers are from the Regatta kit.  A standard paper punch was used to create the curved notches in the ends of the paper strips, and two Triangle Stud embellishments were used to mimic the triangle design of the stamped image.

Share The Love

Welcome to our Share The Love Blog Hop, brought to you by the same ladies who participate in the monthly Stamp-of-the-Month Blog Hop.  Close To My Heart has created this special stamp set so you can "share the love" this February and help support Operation Smile.  CTMH will donate $7 of the proceeds from each Share The Love stamp set sold to Operation Smile.  This organization provides surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates for children all over the world.

This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches (FMS222) was perfect to use with the Share The Love stamp set.  The typewriter is embossed with a mixture of both Gold and Silver embossing powder, and the sentiments are stamped using Cocoa ink.  Some pieces of paper from the Sangria kit and a bit of Shimmer Trim complete the card.        

Since the bold colors of the Sangria kit are some of my favorites, this card is being linked up to the "Favorite Paper Pack" challenge for February on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog.

Balloon Animals (February SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  For the month of February, the Balloon Animals stamp-of-the-month is one of the most adorable stamp sets ever.  It includes six different animals created using balloons, along with some fun sentiments and a frame.

Using the elephant from the Balloon Animals stamp set, this is a fun birthday card for a young person.  The patterned papers are from the Penelope kit, and some Shimmer Trim and Glitter Paper add a bit of pizzazz.  You may recognize the card design as Pattern #24 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 2.
