Ice Cream Dream (June SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  The month of June means summertime, and ice cream!  And the Ice Cream Dream stamp set has great images to honor the great taste of ice cream.  See all the images in the stamp set in the picture at the bottom of this post.

If you have come here from the My Creations With Michelle blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Starting with Pattern #21 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 1, this card uses paper from the Blossom kit along with a teal Glitter Paper.  Images from Ice Cream Dream were embossed using Lagoon and Sunset Pigment Ink and a Clear Super Fine Embossing Powder.  A marker was used to highlight the word "ice cream" and the stripes on the popsicle.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (June 2015) and you are eligible to purchase the Ice Dream Dream stamp set for only $5.  Or you can purchase it for $17.95 without a qualifying purchase.

Now "Hop" on over to Wendy's Stamping Rules! blog to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.

If You Stamp It ~ "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop

"If You Stamp It, They Will Love It" is the theme for this month's "Use Your StashBlog Hop.  The idea is to use a stamp set that has never been loved (used) before.

If you have come here from Mom 'n Me Scrapyou are right on track for the "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop.  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

One of the new stamp sets introduced in the current Seasonal Expressions booklet is this great military set named Salute Our Heroes.  In keeping with the military theme, I thought it best to keep the card very basic, so two of the images were stamped using Black ink and paired with papers from the Wanderful kit.  The card design is Pattern #26 from Make It From Your Heart Volume 2.  To complete the card, an image of dogtags from the Salute Our Heroes set is stamped on the inside.

Now "Hop" on over to the Stampologist to see what stamp set she has decided to use from her collection.

All papers and stamps are from Close To My Heart (CTMH).

A Bit of Blot (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are featuring A Bit of Blot technique shown on page 55 of the Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations book.

If you arrived from My Heartfelt Sentiments blog, then follow along with the link at the bottom of this post to continue the Technique Blog Hop

Since coffee and donuts naturally go together, Saddle ink was used to create a background to resemble spilled coffee. The cute sprinkled donut from Treats of Friendship was stamped and embossed using Saddle Pigment Ink and then ShinHan Touch Twin markers were used to add color to the donut.  A cute 'pun' sentiment from the same stamp set completes the card.  Some pieces of 'weathered look' paper from the Seaside kit are a good complement to the 'coffee stain' paper.

Please visit CatScrapbooking for another entry in this month's Technique Blog Hop featuring a A Bit of Blot.

Thanks ... for the Challenge

Inspired by this week's #jrlcreativechallenge on the CTMH Facebook page to share an embossed project, this card uses stamp images from the Finding The Words set.  A piece of striped paper from the Taste of Summer kit was embossed using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.

All papers and stamps are from Close To My Heart (CTMH).

Taste of Summer ~ Stampers With An Attitude (Blog Hop)

It is National Scrapbooking Month, so members of our Stampers With An Attitude team created artwork with the special Taste of Summer papers and stamp set which Close To My Heart has available only during National Scrapbooking Month (May 2015).

If you have come here from Roxybonds blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

The bright colors and fun patterns of the Taste of Summer papers coordinate perfectly with the fruity images and 'punny' sayings in the Taste of Summer stamp set.  Using Pattern #27 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 1 as a basis, both sides of the oranges paper were used for the card, with a piece of White Shimmer Trim separating the two patterns.  Images from the stamp set were stamped using Sunset and Topiary inks and coordinate perfectly with the Taste of Summer papers.   To complete the inside of the card, some oranges from the Taste of Summer stamp set are stamped in the lower right corner.

Now "Hop" on over to the Inspired By D blog for more fun Taste of Summer artwork.
