A Heartfelt {blot} Thank You

Just a little fun playing with colors from the Color My Heart Color Dare #233, and using the Sketch #311 from Try Stampin' ~or not~ on Tuesday blog.  Wood Slats embossing folder was used to add a bit of texture to the background, and a strip of Sea Glass (color of the year) patterned paper from the Sugar Rush kit creates a nice balance.   

The focal piece is created using different "blot" stamps from the Ink Blot set, along with the challenge colors of Black, Pomegranate, Peacock, and Sea Glass to stamp the decorative blots and sentiment from the Happy Heart set.

Metallic Christmas

Color Dare #222 on the Color My Heart Color Dare blog this week is a nice combo to create with as it is simply neutral (black, white, colonial white) combined with any of the CTMH Metallics (Gold, Silver, Rose Gold)

After adhering the three different colors of Foil Tape to a piece of white cardstock, a tree shape from the Cozy Christmas Thin Cuts was used to cut the metallic tree.  Other patterned paper included on the card is from the Uptown Fundamentals which includes several papers with a metallic pattern.  The nice sentiment is included with the Cozy Christmas stamp set.  The stamp/Thin Cuts set also includes shapes for a snowman and snowman accessories, so you can create your own adorable snowman. 

Inspiration for the card design is Pattern #25 in the Make It From Your Heart, Volume 1 "how to" book.

A Wreath

I was inspired by the colors in Color My Heart Color Dare #221 to create a Holiday card.

The Snowflakes embossing folder was used to add a bit of texture to the Poppy cardstock.  And the new Thin Cuts available to coordinate with the Wreath stamp make it so easy to cut the wreath shape.  In order to create a bit of dimension and border for the wreath, it was also cut from Goldrush cardstock and then offset just a bit to add some additional contrast for the shape.  One of the fabulous Holiday sentiments from the Very Merry stamp set adds a bit of cheer.  Some red Enamel Gems and a piece of ribbon from the Rustic Home ribbon pack add the finishing touches.

A Perfect 10 of Hearts

Inspiration was the "Perfect 10" theme on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog.  A heart image from the Happy Heart stamp set was stamped 10 times, using the Swan Lake colors of Color My Heart Color Dare #216.  The sentiment is from the same Happy Heart set, and the background paper is a nice gray dotted print from the Swan Lake kit.  

After finishing the card, I realized there is another "perfect 10" with the five dots visible on each side of the ribbon used from the Rustic Home pack.

A Pink Elephant

Who doesn't love an adorable pink elephant?  This week's Color My Heart Color Dare #215 using Cotton Candy, Pixie, and White Daisy was a perfect combination with Freshly Made Sketches FMS258.  Using Cotton Candy ink for the elephant image in the Baby Zoo stamp set, along with a piece of Cotton Candy Paper Fundamentals paper, with a couple of touches of Pixie cardstock for some added pinkness dimension.  White embossing powder was used for the line of circles image from the Baby Zoo set, and for an additional dash of pink, some pink Glitter Tape adds some sparkle. Even though the colors are not perfect, the strip of glitter trim really matches the other pinks of the card better "in real life" than in the photo.
