Stylish and Classy

When I saw the theme of "Stylish and Classy" for this week's Heart 2 Heart Challenges, my first thought was the new Foil Paper from CTMH.  This is available in either Silver or Gold, and looks fabulous when embossed because it does not crack like a regular foil.  Of course, the Rose embossing folder also means classic style to me, as does the wonderful sentiment from the Inspire stamp set.  The card base and Glitter Paper are both Bashful, which is the color-of-the-year and is a beautiful pink.

All papers and stamps are from Close To My Heart (CTMH).

School Year (August SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  The month of August means back-to-school, and CTMH has a great School Year stamp set for you.

If you have come here from Janna's Creative Studio, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Used the nice woodgrain frame included in the School Year stamp set along with a sentiment from the Pack Your Bags stamp set for this inspiration card.  Pack Your Bags set is available as one of three exclusive stamp sets you receive with the purchase of the brand new "You Are Here" Cricut collection which is full of travel related cuts.  The flowered background paper is from the new Basics Fundamental packet, which includes 10 new neutral colors.

Since it is a new catalog year, CTMH introduced a new color-of-the-year  ~ Bashful.  This lovely pink pairs beautifully with brown, grey, and many other colors; and you can get Bashful cardstock, ink, glitter paper, Pearl embellishments, pigment ink, and even an Everyday Life album.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (August 2017) and you are eligible to purchase the School Year stamp set for only $5. It is also available for $17.95 without a qualifying purchase.

With Sprinkles On Top!

Welcome to our Thin Cuts Blog Hop, brought to you by the same ladies who participate in the monthly Stamp-of-the-Month Blog Hop.  Thin Cuts give you a fast and easy way to cut all kinds of shapes for your crafting, and this month they are all available at 25% off!  Choose from titles, sentiments, and a wide variety of shapes to stamp on so you can get precise, dimensional shapes in no time.

If you arrived here from Crafty Happy, you are hopping through our circle of Close To My Heart consultants sharing their projects using Thin Cuts die cuts.

The Sugar Rush Cardmaking stamp set has donuts, icing, and sugar-coated sentiments to create a super-sweet card.  Using the coordinating Thin Cuts, I cut some "donuts" out of different colored cardstock and then used the 'sprinkles' patterned paper from the Sugar Rush kit to cut some pieces for icing the donuts. Of course, the 'donut' paper from the Sugar Rush kit is a great background, and a bit of Sea Glass  (color of the year) Glitter Paper added just a touch of sparkle and shine.  The card sketch is Pattern #24 from the Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 how-to book.

Please visit the Kreative Kirsten blog to continue along our Blog Hop.

A Heartfelt {blot} Thank You

Just a little fun playing with colors from the Color My Heart Color Dare #233, and using the Sketch #311 from Try Stampin' ~or not~ on Tuesday blog.  Wood Slats embossing folder was used to add a bit of texture to the background, and a strip of Sea Glass (color of the year) patterned paper from the Sugar Rush kit creates a nice balance.

The focal piece is created using different "blot" stamps from the Ink Blot set, along with the challenge colors of Black, Pomegranate, Peacock, and Sea Glass to stamp the decorative blots and sentiment from the Happy Heart set.

New Year's Cheer (November SOTM Bog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  This month, the New Year's Cheer stamp set includes some great images for creating an invitation to your NYE party, creating a card to wish someone a fabulous new year, and scrapbooking photos from your fun festivities.

If you have come here from Papercrafting Princess, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

The gold stars and speckles on a paper from the Oh Deer! packet creates a great background for champagne bubbles.  The flutes and sentiment from New Year's Cheer were embossed using Gold powder, which adds a nice sheen and texture to the card.  Influenced by the gold in the background paper, a piece of vellum with gold dots from the Uptown Fundamentals was added over some Sea Glass (color of the year) cardstock.  The timeless sketch for the card is pattern #20 from Make It From Your Heart Volume 2.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (November 2016) and you are eligible to purchase the New Year's Cheer stamp set for only $5. It is also available for $17.95 without a qualifying purchase.

Now "Hop" on over to the Scrap Stamp Share blog to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.
