A Little Everything (March SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  The A Little Everything sentiment set from Close To My Heart has words that can be mixed and matched to create your own unique card.   With a whimsical font and some words four times as large as the others, you can create some fantastic phrases.  This is a very easy card to create using my new favorite paper from the Topstitch kit.  The diagonal stripes have great detail, and the only embellishment on the card is a Just Blooms paper flower with a piece of ribbon for the center.

If you have come here from Jen's 'Roxybonds Scrappin' blog, you are on the right path! There are more than 70 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.  So you should be able to find lots of great creative ideas to use for your own projects.  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Now "Hop" on over to Barbra's 'Can't Stop Dreaming' blog to see her work!  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!  Remember, the A Little Everything stamp set is only available until the end of March.  Let me know if you would like to find out how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free.

If you get lost on the Blog Hop or find links that aren't working, there is a complete list of all participating blogs on Helen's 'Hooked On Stamping' blog.

Wacky Little Birds - CU Charm Swap

Next weekend, I am attending Creative University and signed-up to participate in a Charm Swap.  Specifics included using the colors pink, green, white, and silver with a "springtime" theme to create a unique charm.  So, I found an un-opened package of Sculpey Clay in my craft room that was purchased years ago and decided to use it - even though I've never worked with clay before.  After scouring the internet and finding detailed instructions for a cute little bird, I finally had a plan.  My bird is not nearly as detailed, but it is only a half-inch tall.

Well, the first bird was cute and fun to make.  But honestly, after working with teeny, tiny pieces of clay for four hours and creating 18 birds - they just look "goofy" to me!   Here is the flock of birds - fresh out of the oven.

These three little guys have not been glazed yet.  So, do they just look wacky?

Sticky Boy Passes Endurance Tests!

This is a super cute video that Close To My Heart used to present the My Acrylix clear stamps to consultants at our Convention in 2004. And now the company is sharing it on YouTube for everyone to enjoy. Watch the Sticky Boy mascot endure tests for impact, temperature, and exposure by 'sticking' on golf clubs, bowling balls, frying pans, clothes dryers, windshields, and more.

At CTMH events (Convention, Leadership, regional events) since the introduction of the My Acrylix stamps, there have been 'hidden' Sticky Boy stamps placed around the conference rooms and hallways.  This is one that I found stuck to a rainy window in Bartle Hall when National Tour was in Kansas City.  And a Flat Sticky Boy (remember Flat Stanley) that visited the Salt Lake City Convention in 2006.  It is always fun to hear a bunch of grown women get excited about finding Sticky Boy!

And at Convention, you can even meet the Sticky Boy character.   Here he is with Jeanette Lynton - our company founder and CEO.

Psst ... from what I've heard, it is actually her husband, David, who is playing the role of Sticky Boy.
