One Sketch - Three Cards

Using a Mojo Monday sketch, I created three cards with different papers and stamps.  All three use the same vertical sentiment from the Happy Birthday stamp set.

This is definitely my favorite of the three - the little boy and his yo-yo from the Childhood Portrait stamp set goes great with the paper from the Magnifique kit.

Veranda papers are used with the sweet little girl from the same Childhood Portrait set.

And for more of an Autumn feel, the bird from A Tweet stamp set is used with one of the gorgeous papers from the Olivia kit.

Two Challenges Combined - Two Cards Created

Every week, there are challenges available on different blogs.  This week, I am combining a sketch challenge from the Mojo Monday blog and a color challenge from the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog.

This first card uses stamps from the Childhood Portrait stamp set along with the three challenge colors.

Using the same sketch and same color combo, the Whooo Loves You stamp set was used along with Spot On Backgrounds for this card.

The Mojo Monday blog features a sketch design and encourages contributors to create a card using the weekly sketch and then "link" the entry back to their blog.  This week's sketch is titled MOJO155.

Details for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge include the use of three Close To My Heart exclusive colors:
As you can see from my completed cards, each of the cards incorporates both the sketch from Mojo Monday and the colors from Heart 2 Heart to combine the challenges to create a single card.  Then, by using completely different stamps, but maintaining the sketch and the color challenge, a second card was created to combine the challenges.   All stamps and papers used are from Close To My Heart (CTMH).

This was a fun exercise - to follow a sketch and also be limited to certain colors.  This is truly combining two challenges into one, and it was fun to see what I could create by combining the two challenges.

13 Hours Worth of Stamping!

Yesterday, a friend and I were able to spend 13 hours straight playing with all of our great Close To My Heart stamps and inks. Looks at how many projects I completed. A few of the cards were started last weekend at the CTMH Regional Celebration in Minneapolis, and some of the others are "stamp lifted" from cards that have been shared by other CTMH consultants. There are some nugget tins in the back that are a bit difficult to see. But I promise a "close up" of them in a later post.

One of my favorite cards from the day is this adorable silhouette card using the Childhood Portrait stamp set. The little girl stamp is embossed using Cocoa embossing powder, so the image has a bit of sheen and texture to it. This is a very simple card to create, no layers except a strip of Cocoa cardstock on the lower inside as a background for the great border punch used along the bottom.

The Childhood Portait stamp set has several other adorable images, and they are perfect to use for creating quick and simple cards. This little boy on a rocking horse is a simple black & white card, with the Swiss Dots embossing folder used for the background. Looks like the scanner added a bit of a blue 'haze' to the card - but it is really just white cardstock.
