For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are featuring A Bit of Blot technique shown on page 55 of the Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations book.
Since coffee and donuts naturally go together, Saddle ink was used to create a background to resemble spilled coffee. The cute sprinkled donut from Treats of Friendship was stamped and embossed using Saddle Pigment Ink and then ShinHan Touch Twin markers were used to add color to the donut. A cute 'pun' sentiment from the same stamp set completes the card. Some pieces of 'weathered look' paper from the Seaside kit are a good complement to the 'coffee stain' paper.

Great card. The spilled coffee blot goes great with the donut!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle. And I forgot to mention that there is a coffee cup from the stamp set on the inside of the card.
DeleteCute idea! Love the coloring on your donut too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa. Not sure what "flavor" of donut you will call that. lol
DeleteWhen I first looked at your card before reading your post my mind jumped right to spilled coffee. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got that impression, Cat. Thanks!
