Calypso ~ Stampers With An Attitude (Blog Hop)

This month, our Stampers With An Attitude team is sharing projects created using the Calypso paper kit or with a beach theme.

Who can resist creating with the adorable flamingos in the Tickled Pink stamp set. With the matching Tickled Pink Thin Cuts and your die cut machine, it is so easy to quickly cut the flamingo and wing, then you use the stamp set to add the body, legs, and beak. Paired with fun papers from the Calypso kit, a Black cardstock base, and some sequings, this card was created based on the Center Charms design from the Originals Card Confidence Program.

Happy Times (National Scrapbooking Month)

The month of May means National Scrapbooking Month and happy times! For the special month, Close To My Heart has created a special Happy Times paper kit and a coordinating stamp set. Follow along with our Blog Hop to see projects created using the both of these, along with other great CTMH products.

Two of my favorite papers in the Happy Times kit are the metallic gold and white stripe that I used for the background of this card, and the gold embossed flowers used as an accent. The shiny gold inspired me to use gold embossing for an image from the Australian Thanks stamp set. Following sketch #20 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 1, this was a fun and quick card to create.

Celebrate With Cake (May SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. Now you can "have your cake," but you can't "eat it too" because it is just paper! With three different cake stands, several layers of cake, along with banners and sentiments, this is the easy way to bake a cake.

For my card, the largest cake stand is used along with three tiers from the Celebrate With Cake stamp set. To add color to my cake, watercolors were used with the new Small Round Waterbrush that is available in the Seasonal Expressions catalog. A fun confetti paper and a brushed pink paper, both from the new Calypso kit, were used to complete the simple card.
