A Snowman For the Holidays

Inspired by the black & white of Color My Heart Color Dare #214, the Thistle and Pear were perfect for a 'pop' of color with the snowman.  The pieces of the snowman were cut using the adorable Cozy Christmas Thin Cuts die cuts and then stamped using the coordinating stamp set.  This is a really fun set to create with, and is available in the CTMH Holiday Expressions collection through the end of this year.

Using the Thin Cuts dies, the hat and scarf were cut using some patterned papers from the Penelope kit.  For the background, a great black & white paper from the Uptown Fundamentals reminds me of falling snow.  The simple card design is FMS #214 at Freshly Made Sketches, which is one of my favorite sketch blogs.

Autumn Wishes Goes Uptown!

Chic, elegant, posh ~ these words are all synonyms for "Uptown" which is one of the challenges this month on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog.

The two different pumpkin images in the Autumn Wishes stamp set are so fun to create with.  For this card, one of the pumpkins was embossed with a combination of both silver and gold embossing powders.  This is what reminds me of "uptown" is the shiny, shimmery effect of the metallic embossing.  The gold and silver elements of the patterned paper from the Oh Deer! kit, along with a gold metallic ribbon from the Uptown ribbon pack really make the card shine.

Spread the Love

Welcome to our Spread The Love Blog Hop, brought to you by the same ladies who participate in the monthly Stamp-of-the-Month Blog Hop.  Close To My Heart has created this special stamp set so you can "spread the love" and help support Operation Smile.  CTMH will donate $7 of the proceeds from each Share The Love stamp set sold to Operation Smile.  This organization provides surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates for children all over the world.

If you arrived here from Priscilla's Paperie, you are hopping through our circle of Close To My Heart consultants sharing their projects.

Isn't she cute?  This sweet little girl is from the True Love stamp set and was colored by daubing ink with a cotton swab.  Three different papers with geometric shapes from the Jeepers Creepers packet were used to create this simple card.  The card sketch is a rotated version of pattern #22 from Make It From Your Heart volume 1.

Please visit Jen's Jewel Box to continue along our Spread The Love Blog Hop.

If you get lost along the way, the complete list of participants is available on Melinda's 'If You Bling It' blog.

Happy "Monster" Birthday

Adorable little monsters to wish someone a not-so-scary birthday.  Inspired by Color My Heart Color Dare #213 which uses the colors in the Jeepers Creepers paper packet, the sentiment and "sprinkles" stamps are from the Birthday Sparkles set.  The simple card (and versatile) card design is #20 from the Make It From Your Heart volume 1.

Yuletide Joy (October SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  Fall weather is here, and it is time to start thinking about the Holidays.  This month's stamp-of-the-month is a great way to start your card making.

If you have come here from Inky Hearts Papercrafting, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Influenced by the beautiful black and colorful paper in the Swan Lake packet, the gift image from Yuletide Joy was stamped using Black ink and then just a bit of color was added using some markers.  The gold and black grosgrain from the Uptown Ribbon collection adds some texture.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (October 2016) and you are eligible to purchase the Yuletide Joy stamp set for only $5. It is also available for $17.95 without a qualifying purchase.

Now "Hop" on over to the Stampologist blog to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.

If you get lost along the way, the complete list of participants is available on Melinda's 'If You Bling It' blog.
