Picture My Life (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are showing different ways to use the themed Picture My Life scrapbook programs from Close To My Heart.

Do you sometimes need to create a card, and only have about five minutes?  That is all the time this took, using two cards from the Balloon Ride Picture My Life program, a 6"x6" card base, and a strip of Chocolate Woodgrain Washi Tape.  Most of the design is already printed on the Picture My Life cards, and the only stamped image is the cute tandem bicycle from the School Years set.  Since the corners of the Picture My Life cards are rounded, a Corner Rounder was used on the card base to create the same look.

Each Picture My Life scrapbooking program touches on a theme, but also incorporates everyday titles and designs to capture a wide variety of memorable moments.  Mix and match the cards' fronts and backs with your photos to create the perfect groupings for your story.  Each themed program includes 122 double-sided cards in 3"x4" and 4"x6" horizontal and vertical designs, and a 12"x12" cover page to bring it all together.

Another Birthday Card ...

Yes, it is another birthday card!  The clean card design is from Freshly Made Sketches (FMS140), and the colors used are Buttercup and Indian Corn Blue for Color My Heart Color Dare 98.  To create the diagonal piece, a Zip Strip from Babycakes and one from Jubilee were placed on some Buttercup cardstock.  A bit of Baker's Twine was added, along with some Bitty Sparkles to add some shine.  The birthday sentiment is from the Banner Wishes stamp set.

Zig-Zag Birthday

Love the simple sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch (CTS79).  For the repeated design, a zig-zag image from the School Years set is stamped using Honey, Olive and New England Ivy inks.  For the fourth color of Color My Heart Color Dare 97, a birthday sentiment from Joyful Birthday was embossed using Outdoor Denim pigment ink and the card base is Outdoor Denim cardstock.

A Field of Blue Flowers

For the Rhapsody in Blue challenge on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog, a field of blue flowers using the whimsical 'squiggle' flower from Enjoy the Little Things stamp set.  The card design is Freshly Made Sketches (FMS139), with a tag cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and banners made using papers from the Ariana kit.

A Teddy Bear Birthday

This adorable teddy bear is available in the Teddy Bear Birthday stamp set, along with an adorable hat and other accessories.  With his big Creme Brûlée colored bow, he is paired with some patterned paper from the Balloon Ride kit for Color My Heart Color Dare #96.  The card sketch is a Retro Sketches (RS117) challenge.
