This Moment (January SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  This month the featured stamp set is This Moment, with is a great stamp set to create some fun Valentines.  See all the images in the stamp set in the picture at the bottom of this post.

If you have come here from My Creations with Michelle blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Instead of a Valentine card, I chose to create a card which can be used anytime.  Using ink colors from the Hopscotch kit, the three different arrow images from This Moment stamp set were used to create an accent piece behind the 'hello.' A piece of patterned paper from Hopscotch was used as the background on top of a Ponderosa Pine cardstock base.  A bit of Flaxen twine adds a finishing touch.  Design of the card is inspired by Pattern #22 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 1.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (January 2015) and you are eligible to purchase This Moment stamp set for only $5, or you can purchase it at the full price of $17.95 without a qualifying order.

Now "Hop" on over to 'Papercrafting With Kelly Janes' blog to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.

If you get lost along the way, the complete list of participants is available on Melinda's 'If You Bling It' blog.

World Traveler

The final challenge of the year on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog is "Tinsel Time," which is to use the colors Silver, Lagoon, and Black.

For this great color combo, I chose some patterned paper from the Chalk It Up kit along with images Here We Go stamp set and a sentiment from World Traveler.  Some Silver Glitter Paper adds a bit of sparkle along with the sentiment which is embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. For a finishing touch, two arrow embellishments from the Chalk It Up Assortment were used.  Design of the card is based on Pattern #25 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 1.

Inside of the card is finished with images from both stamp sets.

Christmas Colors ~ "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop

This month, the challenge for those of us participating in the "Use Your StashBlog Hop was to create a project using Christmas colors from our stash.  It can be traditional, or a more unusual color combo for the Holiday.   So you will see a wide variety of projects and colors while visiting each post along the Blog Hop.

If you have come here from 'NJ Stamping Queen', you are right on track for the "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop.  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

Using some patterned paper from the Yuletide Carol kit along with Ruby and New England Ivy cardstock, this birthday has more of a masculine feel than Christmas.  Images from the Holiday Tags stamp set were used along with the new Vine Embossing Folder and some Striped Twill ribbon.  The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches (FMS167).

Now "Hop" on over to 'Scrappin Katy' for more projects using Christmas colors.

Irresistible Texture (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are featuring the "Irresistible Texture" technique shown on page 11 of the Seasonal Expressions supplement from Close To My Heart.

If you arrived from My Scrap Happy Life blog, then follow along with the link at the bottom of this post to continue the Technique Blog Hop

This card came together quickly using Freshly Made Sketches (FMS166). For an "Irresistible Texture" on this card, I used the new Scallop Embossing Folder.  The background of the card is a piece of Pacifica cardstock which has been embossed with the Scallop folder.  A 'thanks' sentiment from the You Mean The World To Me stamp set was stamped on a piece of White Daisy cardstock.  In order to repeat the scallop, a piece of Black Shimmer Trim was edged using the Scallop punch, and then some Metallic Baker's Twine adds a final touch to the card.  Since the Take Heart Ideas blog December Challenge is "anything goes," this qualifies since it uses all CTMH products.

Happy Holidays ~ Stampers With An Attitude (Blog Hop)

Welcome to the "Happy Holidays" blog hop with members of our Stampers With An Attitude team sharing their creations with an Autumn theme.

If you have come here from the Roxybonds blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

For this adorable little 3"x3" card, I simply followed the "Crafting Techniques Build-a-Wreath" steps on page 68 of the Annual Inspirations catalog using images from the Merry, Merry stamp set shown on the same page.  After stamping the image with pine cones and small dots using Chocolate ink, I then used the Carmine ShinHan Touch Twin marker to add red color onto the dots so that they appear to be berries. The sentiment was then stamped, cut out, and placed on the wreath using 3-D Foam Tape to give a bit of dimension.

Now "Hop" on over to CatScrapbooking for more "Happy Holidays" fun.
