Cutie Pie (December SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  Four adorable cupcakes and a cake stand are included in this month's stamp set, Cutie Pie.  See all the images in the stamp set in the picture at the bottom of this post.

If you have come here from the If You Bling It ...  blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

A fun geometric paper from the Snowhaven kit provides a background for this cupcake on a pedestal, using stamps from the Cutie Pie set.  The cake stand was embossed using Silver embossing powder and then more color was added using the Silver Metallic Marker.  To create the cupcake, the wrapper and icing were each stamped on other pieces of paper from Snowhaven and cut out to add to the 'base' cupcake.  Paper piecing using patterned paper is a great way to add a bit of texture to your stamped images.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (December 2014) and you are eligible to purchase the Cutie Pie stamp set for only $5.

Brushstrokes

A quick, fun card created for the NO-Embellishments in NOvember challenge on the Heart 2 Heart blog along with Color My Heart Color Dare 120.  This simple card is just a piece of White Daisy cardstock with a sentiment from Casual Expressions stamped using Black ink.  Then an image from the new Brushstrokes set was stamped using Glacier, Goldrush, Olive, Lagoon, and Barn Red inks.

Brushstrokes (set of 8 stamps)

On December 1, Close To My Heart will release their Seasonal Expressions booklet which is a supplement to our Annual Inspirations catalog.  Seasonal Expressions contains several new stamp sets, and this Brushstrokes set is definitely my favorite.  I can see the images of this set being used in lots of future projects.

A Thing Well Done

On December 1, Close To My Heart will be releasing their Seasonal Expressions mini-catalog with a couple of new paper kits, several stamp sets, and some new embellishments for your creative projects.  The images used for this card are from A Thing Well Done, which is available only as a Hostess Reward item.  This card combines Freshly Made Sketches (FMS162) with Color My Heart Color Dare 119.  Olive and Smokey Plum textured cardstocks from the Paper Fundamentals pack are used to add extra detail to the card.  For an accent, a piece of Flaxen Twine holds a couple of charms from the Base & Bling collection.

Pinwheels

A quick birthday card using CAS(E) This Sketch (CTS99) along with Color My Heart Color Dare 118 colors of Smoothie, Honey and Olive.  The pinwheels were cut using the Artiste Cricut cartridge, and a strip of Smoothie Washi Tape was added to the left edge of the card.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets, Your Own Kind of Wonderful and the inside of the card has a stamped butterfly from the same set.

Autumn With An Attitude ~ Stampers With An Attitude (Blog Hop)

Welcome to the "Autumn With An Attitude" blog hop with members of our Stampers With An Attitude team sharing their creations with an Autumn theme.

If you have come here from the Inspired By D blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

Autumn would not be complete without some turkey decor.  This turkey image from the Perfect Fit-Thanksgiving set was stamped with a mixture of Silver and Gold embossing powders. Recently, @ctmhcorp posted a short video on Instagram showing this technique for a unique heat embossed look, and I thought this was a great opportunity to give it a try.  Small Sponge Daubers were used to add a bit of color to the body and feathers using Barn Red, Flaxen, and Sunset inks.  Freshly Made Sketches (FMS161) was the inspiration for the card design.  To add a bit of texture to the background, a piece of Barn Red cardstock was embossed using the Damask Embossing Folder.  A strip of Gold Polka Dot Washi Tape and some Metallic Baker's Twine were used for a bit of additional shine.

Now "Hop" on over to CatScrapbooking for more Autumn With An Attitude fun.
