Enjoy the Little Things ... In the Garden

For the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog "In the Garden" challenge, I used flowers and stems from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set which is available only as a Hostess Rewards item.  Using Freshly Made Sketches (FMS137), the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder was used to create a background of Colonial White cardstock and a piece of patterned paper from the Free To Be Me collection adds some additional texture.

All papers and stamps are from Close To My Heart (CTMH).

Irresistibly ~ You're the Best!

CAS(E) this Sketch! (CTS76) reminded me to use an Irresistible Hexagon.  The Irresistibles are so fun to use, all you do is apply some ink with a sponge or marker and the resist pattern magically appears.  This card was easy and quick to create using a fun patterned paper from the Free To Be Me collection which is only available during National Scrapbooking Month (May 2014).   Sentiment is from the versatile Banner Wishes stamp set and the card is embellished with a button from the Babycakes assortment along with some Aqua Dots adhesive-backed enamel dots.

Congrats Journal - Maroon & Gold

Recently we had an Open House celebrating my daughter's graduation from college.  She wanted a book so friends could leave her words of wisdom, so we decorated a My Creations Journal.

Since Stephens College colors are Maroon and Gold, the polka-dot vellum in the Free To Be Me collection was perfect paired with Ruby cardstock.  The 'congrats' and medallion shapes were cut using the Artiste Cricut cartridge, and the "class of 2014" was stamped using images in the Congrats Graduate stamp set.  A gold Metallic Marker was used to add some color to the edges of the largest medallion and the cardstock behind 'Congrats.'

Proud of her Honors medal for graduating Cum Laude.

Some of the dance shoes she used during her College performances.

In celebration of National Scrapbooking Month, Close To My Heart has created the Free To Be Me paper collection, available during May 2014 for only $5, with a $50 qualifying purchase.

All papers and stamps are from Close To My Heart (CTMH).

Free To Be Me ~ Stampers With An Attitude (Blog Hop)

This month, the "Stampers With An Attitude" blog hop participants are sharing projects using papers from Free To Be Me, which is a special collection being offered by Close To My Heart in celebration of National Scrapbooking Month.

If you have come here from 'CatScrapbooking', you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

Feathers, feathers, feathers - using the Feathers stamp set, the colorful feathers printed paper from Free To Be Me, and the beautiful feathers vellum in the collection, this card is based on Pattern #24 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 1.  The feather images were stamped using pigment ink and then embossed with a Clear Detail embossing powder.  Markers, including Metallics gold and silver, were used to add color to the detailed feather along with a few Bitty Sparkles.  The congratulations sentiment from the Casual Expressions stamp set is actually easier to read on the card than in the photo.   A bit of Cashmere Metallic Baker's Twine and some Aqua Dots complete the card.

Now "Hop" on over to 'If You Bling It ... they will come' for Melinda's project using the Free To Be Me collection.

Free To Be Me (National Scrapbooking Month) Blog Hop

Welcome to our Free To Be Me Blog Hop, brought to you by the same ladies who participate in the monthly Stamp-of-the-Month Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Adeline's 'Welcome To My Creative Space!' blog, please continue hopping through our circle of Close To My Heart consultants sharing their projects using this special paper pack.

In celebration of National Scrapbooking Month, Close To My Heart has created the Free To Be Me paper collection, available during May 2014 for only $5.  Using some of the papers in the Free To Be Me kit, a bit of houndstooth Lagoon Washi Tape, and the Unicorn Dreams stamp set, I created this fun card.  Pattern #24 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 1 is the card sketch used, and some Aqua Dots were added as a finishing touch.

Please visit Melissa's 'Gina's Little Corner of Stampin Heaven' to continue along our Blog Hop featuring the Free To Be Me paper packet from Close To My Heart.
