You've Got A Friend (May SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for the month of April, featuring the You've Got a Friend set.  The five sentiments in this stamp set are perfect for creating a fun card to brighten someone's day.   See all the images in the stamp set in the picture at the bottom of this post.

If you have come here from Lori's Saving My ...  blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

The fun Lollydoodle papers were perfect to use with this sentiment from the You've Got a Friend stamp set.  Pattern #26 in the Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 guide is a great way to include several different patterned papers.  However, the striped piece in the middle is actually a strip of Smoothie Washi Tape on White Daisy cardstock.  To complete the card, an adorable owl from the Lollydoodle Assortment of adhesive-backed acrylic gems was added along with some Slate and Smoothie Baker's Twine.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (May 2014) and you are eligible to purchase the You've Got a Friend stamp set for only $5.

Now "Hop" on over to Nancy's 'Paper Crafting With Heart' to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.

If you get lost along the way, the complete list of participants is available on Melinda's 'If You Bling It' blog.

She Believed ...

At the Rediscover CTMH event in Omaha last week, I was fortunate to receive the She Believed stamp.  This was selected by Jeanette to be given out at the 2013 Convention, and also at this year's Rediscover events across the country. It is a wonderful sentiment, and I decided to use it for a card combining the Heart 2 Heart Spring Into Spring with Flowers challenge along with Color My Heart Color Dare #91.  This very feminine congratulations card was made using beautiful flowered papers from the Ariana kit and Pattern #24 from Make It From Your Heart Volume 2.

Honeycomb Birthday

A very simple card, just stamping on a single piece of cardstock - no layers, no embellishing.   Using the four colors of Color My Heart Color Dare #90 (Outdoor Denim, Pacifica, Indian Corn Blue and Honey), different shapes from the Honeycomb stamp set were stamped to create a border on the left side of the card.  This pattern was also stamped on the inside right of the card for a unified look.  A script sentiment from Joyful Birthday was stamped using Honey ink, and the card is complete.

An Owl and Two Challenges

This week, I chose to combine Freshly Made Sketches (FMS132) with the Heart 2 Heart Color Challenge using Sweet Leaf and Lagoon.  There is no stamping on the card, just papers from the Skylark kit along with an adorable owl cut using the Artbooking Cricut cartridge.  To add a bit of texture, the Sweet Leaf cardstock was embossed using the Quatrefoil embossing folder

Washi Tape Butterflies

Welcome to our Washi Tape Blog Hop, brought to you by the same ladies who participate in the monthly Stamp-of-the-Month Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Vicki's 'The Price of Paper,' please continue hopping through our circle of Close To My Heart consultants sharing their projects using Washi Tape

Washi Tape with Smoothie Stripes, Lagoon Houndstooth, and Slate Polka-Dot were all three adhered to a piece of cardstock and then a butterfly shape was cut in various sizes using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  For the lower portion of the card, strips of the same Washi Tape were added along with a sentiment from Banner Wishes.

Please visit Jean's 'Stamping Maui' to continue along our Blog Hop featuring Washi Tape from Close To My Heart.
