Watercolor Your World (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are using the new Watercolors which are now available from Close To My Heart.  There are 36 rich and creamy colors, along with special Watercolor Paper and a Paintbrush Set.

If you arrived from The Creative Beehive blog, then follow along with the link at the bottom of this post to continue the Technique Blog Hop

For my first time playing with these Watercolors, I wanted to do something simple.  So I used a couple of the yellow colors and four of the blues to create a colorful background for the hot air balloon image from the Balloon Wishes stamp set.  The painting was very easy and fun to do, and I really like how creamy the paint is.  It almost has a chalky feel on the paper.  To complete the card, some Bitty Sparkles were added to the hot air balloon, and the sentiment is backed with some Silver Glitter Paper.

Please visit Priscilla's Paperie blog for another entry in this month's Technique Blog Hop.
All papers and stamps are from Close To My Heart (CTMH).

Nevermore ~ Stampers With An Attitude (Blog Hop)

Next month is Halloween, and our Stampers With An Attitude team is sharing projects created using the Nevermore paper pack.

If you have come here from the If You Bling It blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

Steampunk Scoundrels is a new stamp set with fun detailed images.  For this card, the bat was embossed using Silver Embossing Powder and the sentiment using Clear Embossing Powder over Eggplant pigment ink.  The patterned paper is from the Nevermore kit, and a strip of Coral Shimmer Trim adds a bit of sparkle.

Now "Hop" on over to CatScrapbooking blog for more artwork using the Nevermore paper kit.

Hello Life ~ National Stamping Month special

Welcome to our Hello, Life! Blog Hop, brought to you by the same ladies who participate in the monthly Stamp-of-the-Month Blog Hop.  September is National Stamping Month, and this year Close To My Heart has something to help every kind of papercrafter say a big "hello!" to life!  There are three exclusive stamp sets, and each set is designed to fit with a specific type of papercrafting, whether that's traditional scrapbooking, cardmaking, or pocket scrapbooking.  However, all the stamp sets coordinate with each other and can be used together to create dynamic artwork.

If you arrived here from If You Bling It, you are hopping through our circle of Close To My Heart consultants sharing their projects using the Hello, Life! stamp sets.

The Helllo, Life! Cardmaking stamp set was used to create this fun card.  For a bit of brightness, the color Pear was used along with a polka dot print from the new La Vie En Rose paper kit.  Texture was added to the background with the Dot Embossing Folder, and the glitter dots and bow are from the Pear Paper Fundamentals Assortment.  To give a bit of interest to the stamped image, the new Thumb Notch Punch was used to create notches in two of the corners.  And a bit of Black Shimmer Trim adds just a small amount of sparkle.

During the month of September, these Hello, Life! stamp sets can be purchased for $13.95 each.  Or, for an even better deal, you can purchase all three for only $34.95 - a savings of $6.90.  These stamp sets also coordinate with shapes from the new Cricut Artistry collection to help expand your artwork options even further.

Please visit Wendy's My Scrapbooking Blog to continue along our Blog Hop featuring the Hello, Life! stamp sets.

Diamonds Are Forever

Diamonds Are Forever is a fun new stamp set now available from Close To My Heart.  Hollyhock pigment ink and clear powder was used to emboss the images for this card.  Both sides of a piece of Paper Fundamentals in Hollyhock was used along with some white Glitter Paper and new Silver Foil Tape.  The card sketch is Pattern #24 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 1.

For the CTMH Convention this summer, I was asked to do a Cardmaker Presentation and share some cards created using new products with all the Consultants in attendance.  It was fun to prepare for, and the Diamonds Are Forever stamp set is one of my favorites.  Keep watching my blog to see more of the cards which I prepared for my presentation.

Since there is a bit of sparkle and shine on the card, it is perfect for the "Bling, Sparkle, or Shine" challenge on the new Between the Folds blog.

Paper Garden (September SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  For this month, the Paper Garden set includes nice silhouette flower images which can be used in many ways.  See all the images in the stamp set in the picture at the bottom of this post.

If you have come here from My Creations With Michelle, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

As of September 1, Close To My Heart released their new Annual Inspirations book with some fabulous new papers, stamps, and other accessories.  By far, my favorite new paper kit is Sangria. It includes the rich, jewel-tone colors of Eggplant, Poppy, and Pomegrante, which are new to the CTMH color palette.  For this card, an image from Paper Garden was stamped using Champagne Pigment ink and then embossed using a Clear Detail powder.  Different colored inks were then sponged onto the image using a "resist technique" which leaves a halo of color.  Papers from the Sangria kit are used to complete the card along with some new Poppy Thick Twine.  The 'thanks' sentiment is found in the Hello, Life - Cardmaking stamp set which is available for National Stamping Month.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (September 2015) and you are eligible to purchase the Paper Garden stamp set for only $5. It is also available for $17.95 without a qualifying purchase.

Now "Hop" on over to Wendy's My Scrapbooking Blog blog to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.

If you get lost along the way, the complete list of participants is available on Melinda's 'If You Bling It' blog.
