Kaboom (June SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring the Kaboom stamp set.  Whether you are creating a scrapbook layout of your Fourth of July memories or creating a fun card for someone, you have a great assortment of stamps in this set.   See all the images in the picture at the bottom of this post.

If you have come here from Melinda's If You Bling It blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Red, black, and white may not be traditional Independence Day colors, but they work great for a glittery card.  Using a sentiment and a rocket image from Kaboom along with a background using the Dot Embossing Folder, this card is "ready for take off" to someone special.  A bit of glitz was added using some black Glitter Paper along with Silver, Red, and Black Shimmer Trim.  The Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge was used to cut the "burst" shape for the sentiment.  Remember, any stamp image shown with a red outline has a corresponding shape which can be cut using one of the exclusive CTMH Cricut cartridges.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (June 2014) and you are eligible to purchase the Kaboom stamp set for only $5.

Now "Hop" on over to 'Crafty Lalia' to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.

If you get lost along the way, the complete list of participants is available on Melinda's 'If You Bling It' blog.

A Tree of Gratitude

Two challenges were combined for this card: The Friday Mashup (FM161) to create a project with "trees" and embossing, along with Freshly Made Sketches (FMS138) simple sketch.  The wonderful tree and beautiful sentiment from the Always Grateful stamp set are layered on a subtle background using the Stripe Embossing Folder.

Enjoy the Little Things ... In the Garden

For the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog "In the Garden" challenge, I used flowers and stems from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set which is available only as a Hostess Rewards item.  Using Freshly Made Sketches (FMS137), the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder was used to create a background of Colonial White cardstock and a piece of patterned paper from the Free To Be Me collection adds some additional texture.

A Banner and an Apple

This month, the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog is having "A Banner Day" challenge, and that was my inspiration for creating this card using the apple image in the You've Got A Friend stamp set (May 2014 SOTM).  A notched edge rectangle was cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge so that Sunset and Olive Baker's Twine could be 'hung' as a line for the banners.  Banners were created by combining some Slate Polka-Dot and Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape with cardstock using the Color My Heart Color Dare #95 colors of Sunset, Olive and Lagoon.

Irresistibly ~ You're the Best!

CAS(E) this Sketch! (CTS76) reminded me to use an Irresistible Hexagon.  The Irresistibles are so fun to use, all you do is apply some ink with a sponge or marker and the resist pattern magically appears.  This card was easy and quick to create using a fun patterned paper from the Free To Be Me collection which is only available during National Scrapbooking Month (May 2014).   Sentiment is from the versatile Banner Wishes stamp set and the card is embellished with a button from the Babycakes assortment along with some Aqua Dots adhesive-backed enamel dots.
