Camp Out

This week's theme on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog is "Camp Out." This is a great theme for summer travel, family memories, and adventure.

The stylized trees on this patterned paper from the Jack packet give this card a "camp out" feel. And the sentiment from This Way 2 Paradise (stamp set in the "You Are Here" Cricut collection) reminds you to seize the adventures in life.

The limited edition Jack paper will be retired at the end of this month, so don't wait too late to get a packet for your adventures.

Hello Foxy (June SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. During the month of June the Hello Foxy stamp set is available, which includes some adorable fox images as well as some nice summertime images and a few sentiments.

Using sketch #24 in Make It From Your Heart volume 1, this fun card uses papers from the Jack packet to create a 'woodsy' background for the fun fox. Colored pencils were used to color the adorable fox image from Hello Foxy, and some White Burlap Ribbon adds a bit of dimension.

Buffalo Plaid Birthday

Since my future son-in-law loves Buffalo Plaid, I was thrilled to see this print in the Jack paper packet. For his birthday card (which is still a few months away), the One In A Million stamp seemed the perfect sentiment. A Heartfelt Classic sketch in Originals Card Confidence Program provided the perfect inspiration, and a strip of Silver Foil Tape adds a bit of shine.

Jack, the Bear

Since my grandson needed a card for his mother for Mother's Day, I thought this adorable bear from the Jack-Cardmaking stamp set would be perfect. Both the bear and his "bear hugs" sign were cut using the coordinating Thin Cuts, so no detailed and time-consuming cutting was necessary. It is so simple to cut the perfect shape using the Thin Cuts die cuts along with my Cutttlebug.

The fun papers used for this card are from the Jack paper packet, and the sentiment is included in the Short & Sweet stamp set. Layout of the card was inspired by Pattern #20 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 2.
