Circus Alphabet (July SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  This month the featured stamp set is Circus Alphabet, and you are sure to see some very creative uses along the Blog Hop.  With whimsical uppercase letters, a full set of lowercase letters, numbers, and some punctuation, this set is extremely versatile.  See all the images in the stamp set in the picture at the bottom of this post.

If you have come here from the Welcome to My Creative Space! blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Used an image from the Frame Flair stamp set along with letters from the Circus Alphabet to create a flowery, feminine, cheery 'thank you' card.   A fanciful flower paper from the Lollydoodle kit provides the background, while some pink and green Glitter Paper adds sparkle.  The Frame Flair stamp fits perfectly on an image cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, and just a bit of color using Cotton Candy and Pear markers gives the frame some added dimension.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (July 2014) and you are eligible to purchase the Circus Alphabet stamp set for only $5.

Now "Hop" on over to Lori's 'Saving My ...' blog to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.

If you get lost along the way, the complete list of participants is available on Melinda's 'If You Bling It' blog.

Enjoy Today

Sharing another two-page scrapbook layout which each consultant was able to create during the Friday afternoon Creative Session at this year's Close To My Heart Convention.  Details for the other Happy Little Life layout can be found in a previous post.

Using the new Flaxen and Glacier inks along with some Black, images from the Glitter Glam set were stamped randomly to create a background.  Love the font of the Handwritten Print Alphabet which was used to stamp the title.  The great arrow image is also from the Glitter Glam stamp set.

Papers from the new Seaside and Wanderful kits are used along with some Flaxen, Lagoon and White Daisy cardstock.  Even though the same stamps, inks, and embellishments were used for the two layouts on Friday afternoon, each page is very different.  The feather image used on this page is from the Happy Birds stamp set and the "happy happy happy" is included in the Here We Go set.

Be sure to keep watching my blog for more posts with artwork from Convention!

Happy Little Life

Hello from the annual Close To My Heart Convention which is being held at the Disneyland Resort this weekend.  It is a beautiful hotel, and consultants received a very special room rate.  It is wonderful to watch the fireworks over the castle from your hotel room window, while listening to the accompanying music through the special Disney television channel.

At different times during Convention, CTMH has planned projects and provides every consultant with all the supplies needed to create their own.  These projects always incorporate new papers, stamps and other accessories just announced during Convention.  As a Creative Session Helper for Friday afternoon, I had the opportunity to complete the scrapbook layouts in advance so that others could reference my samples and ask me for assistance while working on their pages.

The title of this page, stamped using the new Handwritten Print Alphabet, reminded me of this great photo of my son and grandson.  They were enjoying an afternoon at the park.

Papers used are from both Chalk It Up and Wanderful kits.  The various stamp images are included in three other new stamp sets:  Here We Go, Glitter Glam and Happy Birds.  You may notice two new colors which were just introduced; Flaxen (a golden yellow) and Glacier (a soft blue).  There are also new Gold Sequins and Gold Shimmer Trim.

Be sure to keep watching my blog for more posts with artwork from Convention!

Zip Strip Fun ~ "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop

Decided to participate in the "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop group, and this month we are using Zip Strips.  These are the ½"x12" border pieces that Close To My Heart includes on the edge of every piece of patterned paper in their My Reflections scrapbooking kits.

If you have come here from 'Tmorrows Treasures', you are right on track for the "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop.  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

No stamping is used on this card.  In order to give some pizzazz to the card, a Zip Strip from the Skylark kit was placed on some White Daisy cardstock and the word 'thanks' cut using the Artiste Cricut cartridge.  Another Zip Strip is behind the sentiment and the pattern is actually lined up so that if the rectangle mat was not behind the word, the pattern would blend together.  Inspiration for the card design is Center Charms from the Originals Card Confidence Program 'how-to' book.

Summer ~ Stampers With an Attitude (Blog Hop)

This month, the "Stampers With An Attitude" blog hop participants are sharing projects using a Summer theme.

If you have come here from 'Photo Fun With Fawn', you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

This Hip Pics Album is all ready for pictures of Summer memories.  This was a creative project that Close To My Heart designed and provided the materials for consultants to create at Rediscover CTMH events this Spring.  Each Hip Pics Album is a sturdy spiral-bound kraft chipboard with 8 white pocket pages (holds 16 photos).  Each page of the album includes a window, and you simply slide a 4"x6" photo into the pocket page so that the 3¾" x 3¾  window displays the focus of your photo.

Stickers and journaling spots from the My Crush Best Day Ever Assortment are combined with stamp images from the Hello Summer stamp set and some paper from the Seaside kit.  These stamps and paper are a "sneak peek" at some new product which will be available beginning August 1.  To further embellish the album, Gold Polka-Dot Washi Tape and Flamingo Dots are used throughout.

Take a peek at some of the inside pages.

Now "Hop" on over to 'Hilary's Crafts' for more Summer fun.
