A Colorful Hi

The Color My Heart challenge for this week (Color Dare #77) includes five colors:  Cranberry, Sunset, Honey, Juniper, and Smokey Plum.  It definitely took some thought to include all five colors, and I am pleased with the result. 

A sneak peek at one of the new Mini stamps which will be available from CTMH on February 1 is this cute Hi which is stamped on Sunset cardstock and the letters cut out.  Instead of using the flower "dot for the i" which is included with the stamp, a cute embellishment was used.  You can see the original image on the envelope.  

To create the colorful accent piece, an overlay from the Artbooking cartridge was cut and then cardstock in the five colors was added to the back.  Some Glitter Paper was used to add a bit of sparkle to the card.

Feathers & Timberline

Another masculine card, and another sneak peek at new product which will be available on February 1 in the Close To My Heart Spring/Summer Idea Book. 

My creative mojo has been working overtime.  When I saw this week's CAS(E) this Sketch! (CTS60), I knew the Feathers stamp set would be perfect.  It is paired with a great woodgrain paper from the Timberline kit and a piece of our new Baker's Twine with a metallic thread.  For a sentiment, Holiday Tags stamp set had one just the right size.

Crop Tuesday!

Have you been trying to find time to create scrapbook pages?  If so, then join us for Crop Tuesday on the first Tuesday of each month.  Our next meeting will be February 4 at 10:00 am.  If that day and time is not convenient and you would like to create this layout, contact me and we can schedule a time for you.  

For our first Crop Tuesday in January, everyone created a fun birthday layout using the <'makea'> key on the Artbooking Cricut cartridge.  Thanks to Pamela for sharing her awesome 'Make A Wish' Scrapbook Layout using Babycakes paper, which we created using papers from the Sarita kit.

Left page of the layout includes a 5"x7" photo and some accent stamping with the Geometric Backgrounds set.  The 'good times' sentiment is in the Take Note stamp set which is included in the Artbooking Collection.  

On the right page, there is more accent stamping with the Geometric Backgrounds 'ikat' image along with four photos.

I {like} You

Another sneak peek at new product which will be available in the Close To My Heart Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book.  

Included in the LOL stamp set are 18 fun images that you see online and are now part of our pop culture.  Everyone knows what a "like" button is, and I used it here with houndstooth letters.  A few strips of patterned paper from the Jubilee kit along with a badge button from the Jubilee Assortment completed a quick card following the STAMPlorations Challenge #3 Sketch.

Charming Robot Girl

Yesterday, my shipment of new product from the upcoming Close To My Heart Spring/Summer Idea Book arrived!  This new book has so many fun new stamps, papers and accessories.  Ready for a sneak peek? 

A really fun sketch on the Freshly Made Sketches (FMS119) blog inspired me.  The charming little girl and astute sentiment are in the new Robot Family stamp set.  Pairing these with fresh paper from the Lollydoodle kit and Pink Glitter Paper created a delightful card.

A Chevron Birthday (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are showcasing overlays cut using the Artbooking Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart.

This card uses the chevron overlay from the Artbooking cartridge as an accent in the middle of the card.  The printed chevron paper is from the Frosted kit and the sentiment is included in the Joyful Birthday stamp set.  Cubes & Colors card sketch from the Originals book was inspiration for the design.
