Handmade Hues (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are sharing projects using the "Handmade Hues" technique tip found on page 66 of the Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations idea book.   For this technique, use ShinHan Touch Twin markers to turn your stamped images into picturesque embellishments.

If you arrived from the Show and Tell, with Michelle blog, then follow along with the link at the bottom of this post to continue the Technique Blog Hop

Using several different colors of the ShinHan Touch Twin markers, some flower images and leaf images from the Pretty Petals stamp set were colored and then cut out to be used on this card.  The diagonal striped paper is from the Scaredy Cat kit, which is versatile enough to be used for more than just Halloween.  A bit of sparkle was added by using the Triangle Border Punch with a strip of Pink Shimmer Trim behind.  To complete the flowers, some Gold Bling Gems were added to the centers.

  1. Sheila, Love what you did with this! What stamp set is it?

    1. Thanks Melissa. The images are from the new Pretty Petals stamp set.

  2. Perfect stamp set to show off the markers and what they can do! Love how you did the flowers. The sparkly border is a nice accent, too.

    1. Thank you, Michelle. I actually thought how I colored the flowers was a bit "wild" at first, but then it decided that I liked that look. :)

  3. I want this stamp set! And I like how you backed the border with the shimmer trim!

Thanks for your comments! It is always nice to hear some feedback. :)
